The distinction is part of the “Apple Distinguished School” program that already has nine other institutions in South America. Now the school enters a preparation process of more than a year to obtain the distinction.
For two decades, the Rochester School raised the idea of putting technology as a tool that helped to evolve in pedagogy and thus get children to develop other levels of thinking. Today the Rochester receives the fruits of that effort: it was selected to be able to apply to the distinction and thus become an “Apple Distinguished College”.
The certification is delivered through the “Apple Distinguished School” programColombia to schools that stand out in the world for their innovation, leadership and the use of platforms that help foster collaboration and critical thinking of students. Currently, 400 schools in 29 countries are included in this program. Since two years ago the Rochester College sought to achieve the distinction.
