Membership Policy

The WGI Board has been working hard to create a membership policy that will work around the globe. This has not been an easy task. We have some Member Organizations around the world that collect the membership fees for WGI so all the members of some regions become automatic members of WGI. This happens in Japan, the US, and Colombia to mention a few. Other Member Organizations leave it to the people in their region to join WGI or not. The challenge with this approach is that many of the people in the regions have no way of getting any information about WGI without becoming a member so they may not even know there is a way to join WGI or how to do it.

If you want to provide feedback on the attached policy, we invite you to do so. You are receiving this invitation because you are a member of WGI and we want to provide our members with the ability to provide feedback on any policies that effect membership. You are not obligated to do so, but rather have the right if you choose. We want to hear from you. Provide your opinion on the proposed policy. It is not official until we have reviewed, considered and possibly incorporated the suggestions of membership. Attempt to take a global perspective, rather than a local one, when reading the policy. Also, provide any suggestions for improvement. Please provide feedback on the policy by 29 January 2016. Thank you!
